Richard Tadman - Director
Richard began his career in Purchasing and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. Much of his career has been spent with the multi-national David Brown Corporation, as a Main Board Director and Managing Director of two of their operating businesses. Most recently he was Vice President of Strategic Development for the USA based Textron organisation.
Richard is a keen photographer and a rather better golfer than the rest of us
Phil Griffiths - Director
Phil has had a long and successful career in HR, with HR Director positions with Raychem Corporation and DHL. He was one of the founders of Connect in 2001. Of outplacement he says "I've bought it (in his HR roles), received it (Phil's not the only Connect person to have experienced redundancy during his career), sold it and delivered it."
Phil tries to keep fit by running, often over stupidly long distances, and dabbles in photography.
Nicola Ashton - Non-Executive Director
After graduating, Nicola began a career in journalism which took her from ABC News and Tokyo Broadcasting Systems to ITN. She then joined her husband Tim to run their web design and video production business, Mole Productions (www.moleproductions.com. Nicola has a particular interest in website strategy and e-learning, and her role with Connect is as an IT specialist.
Nicola is a violinist, the leader of the Wessex Concert Orchestra, and when her hectic business life allows she travels widely.
Barry Rutterford - Non-Executive Dicretor
Barry's background is in operations, with global experience of running manufacturing plants for a major US technology corporation. With additional experience in management consultancy, Barry brings a wealth of wisdom to the Connect management team.
Barry lives near Bournemouth, and spends as much of his free time as possible holidaying in exotic locations.
Dr Bob Reid - Board Advisor
Bob has extensive board level technical and industrial expertise, both with international corporations and with technology start-ups. Currently he has a portfolio of activities working as an interim executive resource and business advisor, and with client companies developing vision, mission, innovation and strategy programmes.
Away from work, Bob is a successful musician, golfer and five-a-side footballer!
Eddie Williams - Sales & Marketing, Senior workshop consultant.
Eddie’s background is in new product development, marketing and business development, working for Raychem Corporation, latterly Tyco Electronics. Eddie helps us at Connect with sales and marketing activities, and is our leading 'group programmes' consultant.
Among Eddie's many interests is the chairmanship of the Faringdon Folly, a role which brought him his 15 minutes of fame on BBC TV.
Jenny Griffiths - Administration & Finance Manager
Jenny has been a member of the Connect team since its small beginnings in 2001. Her background includes finance and administration roles in a number of very diverse businesses, and she now manages all our "back office" activities as well as supporting our candidates and consultants.
Jenny is a keen dog lover and would ideally be walking her spaniel on a Cornish beach right now!
